Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort will host its fourth annual Health and Wellness Fair on Thursday, October 26. The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the casino’s Ak-Chin Ballroom.
According to Susan Baker, Marketing Manager, more than 40 healthcare professionals will be on hand to discuss concerns regarding heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, weight control, mental health, insurance, and other issues relating to aging.
Health Fair guests can receive both flu and pneumonia shots as well as having various vital signs checked (below).
In addition, guests can receive flu and pneumonia shots for a small fee. You can also be checked for body fat, blood pressure, cholesterol and other vital signs. There will be free massages.
Free massages provide a relaxing addition to Harrah’s Health Fair.
“Our health fair is for everyone, but since the event coincides with our Senior Day “Reward’s Plus” entertainment, we’re expecting a large turnout for guests 50+ years old,” Baker said.
The casino’s “Reward’s Plus” takes place every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests 50+ years old can take advantage of a special $5.99 buffet lunch with their Total Rewards Card. In addition, Joey Dee and the Star Lighters will entertain guests in the Oasis Lounge at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. as part of the casino’s “Reward’s Plus” entertainment. Popular morning DJ from KOY, Danny Davis, will be at the Fair with the KOY prize
wheel. Everyone gets a free spin for prizes.
