Get on the bus to speak out for transportation needs

352

Greetings Maricopa!

As your Council member I remain committed to advocating on your behalf. To that end, others and myself will be speaking before the State Transportation Board regarding key projects and improvements in Maricopa.

Up until the documents had been released, widening State Route 347 and adding an overpass to the Union Pacific Railroad crossing had been identified on its critical needs list.

To date, the transportation needs for Maricopa are no longer being considered.

I make a passionate plea to the residents of Maricopa to attend the series of public meetings to address the board on the following dates:

· From 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Phoenix Convention Center West, 106 B and C meeting rooms, 100 N. Third Street, Phoenix;

· From 9 a.m. to noon June 19 at the Manning House, 450 W. Paseo Redondo, Tucson;

It is my sincere hope that our voices will unite and resonate to the state the critical transportation improvements needed for Maricopa. Your participation is significant to the future prosperity of our community.

The city will provide transportation to the meeting on Wednesday. A bus will leave at 4 p.m. from City Hall, 45145 W. Madison Ave. For more information please contact Brent Billingsley or the council at (520) 568-9098.

I hope you will join me.

Marquisha Griffin is a City Councilwoman.
