Police: Armed situation at Maricopa Meadows safely resolved

UPDATE: At 7:10 p.m., Police reported a safe conclusion to the incident. Citizens no longer have to shelter in place. InMaricopa will offer more details on the the situation as they become available. 

UPDATE: As of 6:20 p.m., the situation remains the same, Police are still requesting that local residents continue to shelter in place. 

UPDATE: As of 5:16 p.m., the Maricopa Police Department is still requesting that residents in Maricopa Meadows stay indoors while they resolve the situation. 

The quiet Maricopa Meadows Subdivision is seeing police activity today.

Maricopa Police Department put out a notice of shots fired and for residents to stay indoors while the situation is resolved.
