High school students get financial aid help Thursday

72

Financial aid forms can prove daunting for students and their parents, but Maricopa High School is offering some help Thursday in the form of a FAFSA workshop.

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Student Aid. These forms are necessary for college bound students’ applications for loans or grant monies.

According to high school counselor Stacey Youngerman, “We are having a financial aid expert from CAC (Central Arizona College) to assist students and parents. She will answer any questions and/or go line by line through the FAFSA forms.”

Students may have a parent attend with them, but they need to bring their W-2 form in order to participate in the workshop, which will be held in the MHS library computer lab from 5 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 28.

For further information, contact Youngerman at 520-568-8100, ext. 4094 or by email
