Honeycutt Road now open to limited local traffic

The City of Maricopa reports that all previous road closures due to flood conditions have now been reopened. Honeycutt Road between Hartman and White and Parker is open to limited local traffic. Traffic control is present, and travel is limited to one lane across the wash crossing.

Paving and safety feature installation is underway to create a bypass route on Honeycutt Road to allow for uninterrupted travel during the construction of the Santa Cruz Wash Bridge. Scheduled construction is expected to take two to three days once the crossing dries out, allowing work to resume. Once the water recedes and repairs are completed, the crossing will be opened to two-way traffic. Motorists are asked to slow down, exercise caution and obey all traffic control.

If you have further questions, please call City Hall at (520) 568-9098. If you are experiencing or witnessing an emergency, please dial 911.
