Pima Butte Elementary School recently received a $1,200 donation through Intel Corporation’s Volunteer Matching Grant Program. The funding is provided by the Intel Foundation and made possible through the volunteer efforts of Intel employees.

“I appreciate the outreach program that Intel has in place,” Pima Butte’s principal, Matt Montoya, said. “It is a wonderful volunteer program that benefits the Intel employee and the school.”

Montoya said the school plans to purchase some reading and math resources and attendance incentives with the funds.

For every 20 hours of service, the Intel Foundation matches those hours with a $200 cash contribution. Hours may be accumulated by one or more volunteers at any K-16 school.

For more information about the Intel volunteer program contact any Maricopa USD school or call (520) 568-5142.
