A woman faces three charges after Maricopa police found her Tuesday in the patio of a closed grocery store with drug paraphernalia.

Iris L. Attakai was arrested and booked into Pinal County jail on suspicion of criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, according to Maricopa police.

At about 11:15 p.m., officers contacted a woman, identified as Attakai, in the patio area of Bashas’, 21044 N. John Wayne Pkwy. Police reported there was a “No trespassing” sign posted where Attakai was seated.

According to a probable-cause statement, as officers attempted to arrest Attakai, she initially decided to lay on the ground, thwarting them.

A search uncovered a glass pipe with burnt residue and multiple syringes on her person, according to Maricopa police.

Attakai was transported and booked into jail.
