Central Arizona College’s second annual Job Fair is today from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Maricopa Campus, 17945 N. Regent Drive.

Community members, alumni, current college students and high school seniors are encouraged to attend this event. A sampling of the businesses that will be at the Expo include Arizona Department of Corrections, Maricopa Police Department, Rise Services Inc., Legacy Traditional Schools, Carrington College, Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, Maricopa Unified School District #20, Moving AZ Realty, InMaricopa and Florence Police Department.

“If you are looking to obtain full-time, part-time or summer employment, or are looking to transition into a new career field, this is a great place to start,” said Ann Mitchell, coordinator of Student Employment. “Job seekers should dress in business attire and bring multiple copies of their resume.

Raquel, a.k.a. Rocky, is a sixth-generation Arizonan who spent her formative years in the Missouri Ozarks. After attending Temple University in Philadelphia, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and has been in the newspaper business since 1990. She has been a sports editor, general-assignment reporter, business editor, arts & entertainment editor, education reporter, government reporter and managing editor. After 16 years in the Verde Valley-Sedona, she moved to Maricopa in 2014. She loves the outdoors, the arts, great books and all kinds of animals.
