Jim Jordan, the Vice President of the Maricopa Unified School District Governing Board, suffered a stroke on Wednesday night while at the hospital undergoing treatment for COVID-19.

His daughter, Kelly Jordan Kasunic, posted on Facebook to update the community on his condition.

He is still with us but only able to respond with blinking his eyes,” she wrote in her post. “He hears us and answers yes or no questions. The doctors say that he is continuing to have strokes, so we don’t know how much time we have with him. I am in the hospital with him so if anyone has a message, they would like to give him I would love dearly to read them to him throughout the day.
