KB Home provides voter registration

In an effort to provide its new home buyers with the opportunity to conveniently update their voter information or register to vote for the first time, KB Home today announced a non-partisan community service initiative to offer voter registration forms at KB Home sales offices throughout the Phoenix area.

The unique program will be an expedient way for new homebuyers to register to vote or update their information, allowing local municipalities to maintain a current, accurate electoral database.

“There are thousands of new homeowners that may have not yet registered to vote or changed their address with the elections department,” says Greg Williams, president of KB Home Phoenix. “This will give our new homeowners and nearby residents the opportunity to register at a convenient location in their neighborhoods.”

12KB Home Phoenix will offer registration at sales offices within 16 communities in the Phoenix area as part of the company’s national program to provide voter registration at divisions across the county. “If we can help even a small percentage of our new KB Home residents to update their information, or register for the first time, the program will be a success,” claims Williams.

The general public is also invited to visit KB Home sales offices and fill out a voter registration application. Remember, to be eligible to vote you must be a United States citizen, a resident of Maricopa or Pinal Counties, and 18 years of age or more on or before the day of the upcoming General Election. Deadline to register in Maricopa and Pinal Counties is October 9, 2006.

KB Home’s non-partisan initiative will not include representatives from any political parties or candidates running for office.

KB Home in Maricopa is located at Desert Passage, east of the city off White and Parker Road, as well as at Maricopa Meadows, in the Covington Park and Whisper Glen communities.
