Councilmember Bob Marsh [file]

By Dale Brinkman

There is one candidate in my opinion running for the Maricopa City Council with qualifications that make him stand above the rest. As a retired engineer and business owner, I endorse Bob Marsh for the 2020 City Council as the candidate with an exemplary technical and business background who can immediately contribute to the decisions before City Council.

Bob’s extensive engineering and management experience enable him to address infrastructure issues to guide the growth and development of Maricopa.

A 10-year Maricopa resident, Bob has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission; has been attending Council meetings for years, keeping him up to date on current City Council issues; and is working with the Maricopa Flood Control District for a FEMA grant to get all Desert Cedars residents out of the flood zone.

On Council, Bob could extend his FEMA experience to alleviate other subdivisions currently within flood zones, saving homeowners money by eliminating mandatory flood insurance. Bob recognizes the City’s infrastructure issues and has the education and experience to bring solutions for transportation, flood control and prevention, water management, Internet bandwidth, and solar energy necessary to attract large, anchor employers to Maricopa.

Bringing larger, clean businesses to Maricopa will add new tax dollars and increased employment opportunities for residents of the city. And Bob has a history of supporting equal rights and equal pay for women and men.

On Aug. 4, please join me in selecting the best candidate for City Council and Vote for Bob.
