A Maricopa man was arrested in town for a series of events that resulted in charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. The arrest took place on W. Merced Street at 8 a.m. Jan. 10.
Eliezer F. Hernandez is accused in police documents of using Snapchat to lure his girlfriend’s minor sister for sexual exploitation from February-October 2021. Hernandez gave the victim currency she could use in a video game in exchange for sexually explicit photos of herself. Those photos were exchanged on multiple occasions and included photos of her private parts.
In the messages, Hernandez mentioned his desire to have sexual contact with the victim, and provided his email address so the victim could log into his anime video account.
When questioned by police, Hernandez initially denied messaging the victim, but eventually admitted to doing so but would not comment on the content of those messages.
