Long Realty supports local Girl Scouts

Maricopa’s Girl Scout Troop 1569 recently received a very generous donation from Long Realty and the Mark Spinks Team. The troop received $100. Long Realty, located in the Bashas’ Fiesta Shopping Plaza, also purchased $100 worth of Girl Scout cookies.

“Our troop is very grateful as this enables us to purchase insignia for all the girls as well as helps us to pay for needed supplies, explained leader Lisa Lewis. “A couple of my parents let him (Mark Spinks, C.E.O. of Long Realty) know we were a new troop and could use some help.”

According to Tammy Querin, Operations Manager for the Mark Spinks Team, “We are all for the community of Maricopa.” The Mark Spinks Team has sponsored a middle school girls’ basketball team and recognizes a student and a home of the month with $100 gift certificates. Those who wish to apply for sponsorship should contact Mark Spinks by email.

In existence since October of last year, multi-level Troop 1569 currently has 11 members. Nine of the girls are juniors (ages 8-11), and two girls are Cadets (ages 11-17). Their adult leaders are Lisa Lewis and Lisa Garcia.
