Maricopa’s week will start out very hot and then get wet, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s high is expected to hit 108 degrees under sunny skies and feel much like Sunday. Tonight will be clear with a low around 83 degrees.

Tuesday is also forecast to be sunny, with a high near 109. Skies overnight will be mostly clear with a low around 83.

Wednesday is expected to start out sunny with a high near 105. However a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms will creep in after 11 a.m. That chance of rain will persist overnight, with a low around 82.

Thursday, the chance of rain increases to 20 percent, though overall the day will be mostly sunny with a high near 105. The night time low will be around 81 under partly cloudy skies and the lingering chance for showers.

Friday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 104 and a 10-percent chance for showers and thunderstorms. The nighttime low will be around 81.

The weekend looks like a carbon-copy of Friday with continued triple digits and slight chance for rain.
