Schamarge Brown was arrested Saturday after he allegedly pointed a gun at another man when the two were “involved in a road rage incident” on Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.

According to a Maricopa Police probable cause statement, about 11:15 p.m. two cars pulled into the Maricopa Walmart parking lot. One of the vehicles, occupied by two males, was honking its horn at the other vehicle and “pulled up next to his parked vehicle at Walmart and pointed a brown/tan colored firearm at him and advised him to get off the road.”

The man driving the parked vehicle told police “the vehicle fled the scene and was last seen behind Walmart.”

Shortly before midnight, an on-duty officer located the vehicle near Honeycutt Road and Santa Rosa Parkway and conducted a traffic stop.

Both male suspects were in the vehicle and a brown/tan firearm was located inside the vehicle during a search.

While interviewing the men, who were brothers, officers were told by Marquise Tayari Brown he saw his brother point the firearm at the other man in the Walmart parking lot.

A “one-on-one drive by” identification was conducted with the victim in a passenger seat of a patrol vehicle. The victim positively identified Schamarge Brown as the man who pulled the gun on him.

Brown was arrested for aggravated assault and weapons misconduct and transported to the Pinal County Jail without incident.
