Arrest-Villages

A Maricopa man was arrested and charged after a Friday night incident in the Villages.

Marlin J. Pierson was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct domestic violence after a verbal argument allegedly turned physical, according to police.

Police said Pierson and his live-in pregnant girlfriend, Deserae Garcia, argued around 9:30 p.m. at a home on West Neely Drive. Pierson began to yell and fight, allegedly grabbing Garcia’s head in an attempt to remove her from the house, according to a police report.

When Pierson’s sister tried to step between the couple to break them apart, she sustained an abrasion to her right forearm, police said.

Both Garcia and the sister refused medical treatment, police said.

Pierson was booked into Pinal County Jail and has since been released, according to online jail records.

If convicted, he could face up to six months in jail, a fine up to $2,500, and up to three years probation, according to Arizona statute.
