Volunteers will work to make 3-year-old Brielle's wish for a back yard to play in come true.

On Saturday, Make-A-Wish® Arizona and numerous businesses in the city of Maricopa will come together to grant wish kid Brielle her one true wish, to have a backyard where it is fun to play.

Brielle, 3, spends all her time at home with only a few exceptions. Diagnosed at birth with a life-threatening cellular disease, Brielle has limited movement and must always take precautions against infection, which is why a backyard play area is the perfect wish.

“We cannot wait to renovate the backyard to expand the world for Brielle, while also creating a space she can enjoy with her family,” said Jennifer Rosvall, wish manager of Brielle’s wish. “We were humbled by the number of companies who have donated their resources, their time and their dollars to make Brielle’s wish a reality.”

April 2, Global Water, which is acting as project manager for the renovation, will work with businesses including AZ RY Landscaping, Wildcats Building Materials, Horizon Distributors, Leaf & Feather Farm, ACE Hardware and ED-3, as well as Phoenix-based companies like Suntec Concrete and Hardison Downey, to create a unique backyard play scape that takes into account Brielle’s diagnosis.

The Professional Firefighters of Maricopa union and the Papa John’s Pizza location in the City of Maricopa are donating drinks, snacks and pizza for the volunteers and contractors.

Brielle’s family, including mom Kim, dad Javier, and sisters Ashley and Bella are excited to help the volunteers make Brielle’s wish come true.
