Maricopa Chamber of Commerce seeks Board of Directors nominees

The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce is taking first steps to elect its Board of Directors for 2023 with its call for nominees.

To serve on the board, a nominee’s Chamber membership must be current. Nominations must be made on 2023 Board of Directors’ nomination forms, available by emailing or calling 520-568-9573.

Completed forms then should be emailed to no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The Chamber is an organization of Maricopa-area business leaders who work to improve the community and its business climate. It strives to strengthen the community by identifying needs, problems and opportunities, and then developing programs to solve those problems and satisfy needs.

While the Board of Directors governs the group, its effectiveness is reliant upon member support and involvement.

The Maricopa Chamber is among the fastest growing in the country. Of its more than 300 members, 95% are small businesses with 15 or fewer employees.

The Chamber is a private organization funded primarily by dues and sponsorships paid by member businesses. It is not a government agency. The only tax dollars received are from a Public Service Agreement with the city to provide tourism Information.
