The weekly temperatures are set to drop, and Maricopa could see its first freeze since the winter.

According to the National Weather Service, Maricopa is set to see another week of beautiful weather. The days are expected to be mostly sunny with highs ranging from the mid 60s to high 70s, but the nights are expected to drop into the low 40s and high 30s. Some clouds may roll in, but no moisture is expected.

Monday is projected to be the warmest day of the week with the high temperature reaching 80 degrees. The sky is expected to stay clear and sunny with wind gusts rarely reaching above 5 mph. The overnight low is expected to drop to 50 degrees, and this is expected to be the only overnight low above 50 degrees all week.

Tuesday is expected to be significantly cooler than Monday. The sun is expected to be shining, but the high temperature for Tuesday is projected to only reach 67 degrees. The wind is expected to stay near 15 mph throughout the day, but strong gusts up to 25 mph could cause hazardous driving conditions. The overnight low is also expected to drop to 42 degrees. The added wind chill could make the air feel colder as well.

For Veterans Day, the cool temperature is expected to linger. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high of just 67 degrees. The wind is expected to calm to 5 mph for the day, but the overnight low is projected to drop to 39 degrees. If temperatures drop any lower than expected, Maricopa could see its first freeze since the winter.

Any water on walkways, crops or roads could freeze overnight. Residents should plan accordingly before the temperatures begin to rise again on Thursday.

The sunny days are expected to continue on Thursday and usher in the return of temperature highs in the 70s. According to the NWS, the temperature should reach 73 degrees on Thursday, and the wind should remain calm. The overnight low is expected to drop to 42 degrees.

Friday is expected to begin a sunny weekend with temperatures in the mid to high 70s. The forecast currently calls for sunny skies with a high of 76 degrees, but more information will be available as the weekend approaches.
