Although the Maricopa High School Air Force JROTC cadets were not yet born, they know the importance of the events of Sept. 11, 2001. On Friday, the cadets, joined by Maricopa first-responders, veterans and elected officials, honored the Americans lost during the 9/11 attacks and since.
The MHS JROTC program is led by Lt. Col. Allen Kirksey Jr. (USAF retired).
