Key clinics, meetings set for MLL players, coaches, umpires, parents

Maricopa Little League is offering four clinics, including one for umpires, starting Tuesday – all at Pacana Park. http://goo.gl/maps/Msnah

• T-ball, machine pitch, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
• Softball – 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday
• Minors, majors baseball – 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday
• Umpires – 6 p.m., Aug. 29.

MLL invites anyone who has ever thought about umpiring to the clinic. Interested people are asked to contact David Chavez at mllump4life@aol.com.

Fall ball registration closes Aug. 24 and practice will start seven to 10 days later, with games starting in early September. Most games are played on Saturdays.

There will be a coaches meeting 6 p.m. Monday and anyone interested in coach or managing need to attend his meeting, according to MLL. Click here to see the coaching form.  

A meeting for parents of all registered players will be 6 p.m. Aug. 27 in the multipurpose room at Saddleback Elementary School.

All coaches and volunteers will need to have a current 2013 volunteer form on file with the league. Participants are asked to bring the forms to the appropriate meeting with a photo copy of their ID. Click here for the volunteer form.
