Maricopa Music Circle tunes up in July

The Maricopa Music Circle chamber orchestra is seeking musicians for the upcoming season.

Rehearsals will resume July 26.

The ensemble features accomplished local musicians sharing their interpretive artistry without the direction of a conductor.

The orchestra has two in-person events planned for later this year, including an Autumn Musicale in October and Grand Winter Holiday Concert in December featuring the Maricopa Chorus and other guest artists.

MMC is recruiting adept players on all orchestral instruments. Musicians should be fine sight-readers and comfortable with music at the level of a Mozart symphony or Bizet suite. Musicians of high-school age on up should be fully vaccinated and an audition may be requested.

Rehearsals take place on Monday nights from 7-9:30 p.m. at sites around the city.
