Maricopa neighborhoods are preparing for the second annual GAIN (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) event 2 to 7 p.m. Nov. 9.

The goal of the program is to unite neighbors and communities to create safer neighborhoods. The Maricopa Police Department encourages interested parties to register their neighborhood’s GAIN event.

Police and fire personnel, along with members of the city council, will visit various GAIN parties throughout the community.

Register your GAIN event by 5 p.m. Saturday; Packets are available at the new police headquarters near White and Parker Road and Bowlin Road. Participants are asked to fill out one registration form per event and email it to [email protected].

Events must be scheduled for a minimum of two hours if you are requesting a visit, and invitations to dignitaries need to be received no later than Saturday.

For more information contact GAIN coordinator Joi-Ashli Gibbs at [email protected], [email protected] or 602-571-5707.
