A team composed of Maricopa high school boys has been crowned Indoor Soccer Champions.

The local club team, Maricopa Teakwood’s, had a rocky start with only one victory and 3 losses but went on a six-game winning streak to finish second in their division and go on to play two games in three hours to secure the championship.

Most of these same boys can be seen this winter during the Maricopa High School soccer season that begins December 1st.

“The boys are excited for this upcoming season to be playing on the new artificial surface at the high school,” said Jack Berg, coach of both the club and high school soccer teams.
