Maricopans show off their ‘rides’

52

The 2nd annual Maricopa Motorsports Day car show took place Saturday with more than 500 Maricopa residents turning out to view a wide selection of classic, new and specialized vehicles.

Residents were able to show their ‘hot wheel’ at the event, free of charge.

Entries included a classic Ford Torino, an early 60s Corvette, two Mad Max style cars complete with saw blades and replica guns, motorcycles and even a tricked out bicycle.

For bringing their rides out, each participant was awarded a goodie bag, free coffee, a dash plaque and a free lunch with drink. Other food was made available for purchase.

In addition to the viewing of the vehicles, Maricopa Fire was on hand to run the car bash for participants who got to swing a sledgehammer four times at a junked car for a dollar.
