What a breath of fresh air! A candidate who wants to meet the needs of a community regardless of party! Marlene lets integrity lead the way in her problem-solving approach. When it comes to getting things done for the residents of Pinal County, she will make sure she is educated on the facts first and will make the best decisions for the good of the county.

Pearce: I am a supervisor candidate for everyone

For starters, Marlene Pearce KNOWS we need Prop 416 and Prop 417 to get out of the court system so we can get to work on expanding SR347. Marlene voted to approve these critical props that the people of Pinal County approved. Her opponent voted ‘NO’ on these props. He obviously doesn’t understand the needs of all of the District. Marlene has promised to work hard to keep our property taxes low and manage the budget with an eagle eye.

Not just that, Marlene has represented and worked hard for Maricopa and other communities in Pinal County. Serving the community has always been a passion of hers. She has been a leader in many local charities such as Chances for Children, being a committee chair for Relay for Life, Board member for United Way of Pinal County, and volunteering at the local Community Garden and F.O.R. Food Bank.

I’ve been saying for years that there are many elected offices that don’t need to be party specific. Vote for someone who will not only manage the budget and get things done, but who also understands the needs of Maricopa! This it the RIGHT time to vote for someone who may not be in your party but has our best interest at heart!

Nancy Smith is vice mayor of Maricopa.
