Dear Honorable Vice Mayor Manfredi & Councilmembers & City Clerk Vanessa Bueras, and citizens of Maricopa,

At this time, I write to notify you that I will be resigning my position as Mayor of the City of Maricopa effective at the end of the day June 30, 2022. I have been offered, and accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer and President of the Maricopa Economic Development Alliance. I do not take these actions lightly and I agonized over this decision for several months. In the end, after much prayer and consultation with my wife and family, I realized that the timing, although sooner than the official end of my term, my time as Mayor was approaching and this was the very best way that I could continue serving Maricopa and her residents by working to attract large scale, high wage paying jobs to the Maricopa region.

Holding this position for the last almost 11 years has been the honor of my entire life. I tell you now, that if I never do anything else in the political arena again, my time spent serving the citizens in their time of need and helping the City of Maricopa grow and overcome obstacles was the most satisfying and personally fulfilling period of growth I’ve ever had. I love this city, and I am excited to begin this next chapter of my professional career, focusing on the growth and locating commercial businesses, manufacturing and industry here within the city. So, while I will sincerely miss serving in this position, I say thank you to all who gave me the opportunity to serve the community I love, and I can’t wait for all the amazing things that are going to happen to this community over the next 10 years! May God continue to bless the City of Maricopa, all her citizens and her leaders.

With extreme gratitude,

Christian Price
Mayor
