Maricopa’s representative on the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, Jeff McClure, has been elected by the board to serve as its chairman in the coming calendar year. The District 4 representative is in his first term as a supervisor. The selection took place at Thursday’s meeting, which was the last of the year.

McClure, who was nominated by District 1 supervisor Kevin Cavanaugh and elected with three votes, succeeds District 3 Supervisor Stephen Miller as chairman. District 5 Supervisor Jeff Serdy will serve as Vice-Chair for the same period.

“I am truly honored and grateful to my colleagues for choosing me to be Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for 2022,” McClure said. “It’s been a very interesting and educational first year as a county supervisor and I look forward to the challenge of leading the board next year as we continue to strive to make Pinal County as successful as it can be for our community.”
