Meet new director of MCE

Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship has a new executive director.

The public is invited to a meet-and-greet with Quintin Baker on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at MCE. There will be drinks and desserts.

Known as “The People Person,” Baker is a business consultant, most recently customer experience leader with Dual Path. He is a 2008 graduate of Arizona State University.

Baker is an Arizona native. His career in business development has extended the markets for global brands such as Apple, Lyft, Google and Paypal. Passionate about creating teams and structures, as a community activator he is known for empowering startups through strategy, enabling them to view the “bigger picture” and overcome challenges. Companies under his advisement have developed infrastructures that allowed for rapid scaling and growth, acquired investment and venture capital and created company cultures that attracted and retained quality talent.

He brings to the entrepreneurs of Maricopa a diverse background and track record of executing with companies at various stages of growth and proven methods of expanding economic outlets through local, national and global markets.

Baker has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He serves on the board of Seeking Doors Inc., mentors at Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET) and cofounder of Dual Path Wifi & Internet. Quintin is an avid music hunter, snacks on Macrons and loves traveling all over the United States.

He replaces Dan Beach, who was terminated Nov. 8. MCE is a business incubator operated through a contract with NACET.
