With guests comprised of veterans, active duty personnel, elected officials and others, the Maricopa High School Air Force Junior ROTC presented more than 15 awards and announced promotions Monday night in a program run by the cadets themselves. Six cadets will be graduating, with Louis Chavez and Andrew Gilman going on to the U.S. Air Force, Katie Thomas entering the U.S. Army, and Clifford Franklin on track to join the Marine Corps, while John Blodgett is going to West Point, and Nickolas Adams will attend Northern Arizona University on an AFJROTC scholarship.
