Saturday, members of the Maricopa High School Marching Rams participated in the “High School Band Pep Rally” event at Chase Field hosted by the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Arizona Band and Orchestra Director’s Association.

The MHS Band performed outside the stadium on Fourth street in a “pep rally” emceed by the Dbacks organist Bobby Freeman and ABODA Vice President for High School Band Activities David DuPlessis. The band traded songs with the bands from Basha High School, Benson High School and American Leadership Academy.

Students were recognized on the field before the game began and got to enjoy a great 2-1 win by the Diamondbacks over the San Francisco Giants.

“It was a great experience for our students in a fun environment,” MHS Director of Instrumental Music Ivan Pour said. “We want to thank ABODA as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks for making this opportunity possible for our students.”
