Editor’s note: Later in 2019, the charges against Stillmunkes were dropped.

Cooking food in a microwave led to a man being arrested by Maricopa Police Sunday evening.

On Jan. 6, shortly after 5 p.m., police responded to a residence on West Elizabeth Avenue. The caller told police he asked his stepson, Isiah Stillmunkes, “to get his food out of the microwave because it was popping and going to make a mess.”

According to a police probable cause statement, Stillmunkes told him “he would get to it when he was done playing video games.”

A verbal altercation broke out, which resulted in the stepfather taking the television out of Stillmunkes room because “he was not listening.”

The argument stopped for a while, according to police, but then sparked again when the stepfather “brought up some sensitive stuff from Isiah’s past.”

Stillmunkes apparently became upset and placed the stepfather in a headlock. The two separated and police were called.

Stillmunkes was placed under arrest for assault and disorderly conduct.

  1. .what that officer gave you was false information I was defending myself because my stepfather slammed me into a wall and tried plucking my eyes out. I acted in self defense and put him in the headlock as a restraint

  2. Just so the media outlet is aware I will be filing a lawsuit to have to removed as it is currently preventing me from obtaining a job and the charges were dismiss because they were based on self defense there for I was not charged with these false and bogus accusations and there will be another lawsuit of defamation as-well so at this point I highly suggest that the this article be be removed
