Hall said she received a notification that Maeva’s phone was at the station. Her family responded and was able to locate her.

On Thursday evening, Maeva told staff at RAM Academy she was leaving with her uncle, but the male driver was not a relative. She was last seen in a blue sports car as it drove away from the school.

Hall, who had said she did not know the identity of the driver, immediately reported the incident Thursday to police, who launched an investigation.

Hall, who helps run a local Facebook group, immediately posted information and photos of Maeva in her group on Thursday, and others shared them in additional Facebook groups in town to try and spread her image far and wide to help locate her.
