MPD conducted a traffic stop on John Wayne Parkway and Juan Street. Mollinedo was wearing the same style shirt and pants described by witnesses.

Using crime analysis information gathered from reports of suspicious activity, a composite sketch and vehicle information provided from one of the victims, MPD put together a multi-pronged operational plan to apprehend the subject.

On Wednesday, police released a composite sketch and description of the suspect based on witnesses description of a dark-skin Hispanic male in his mid to late 30s or medium-to-large build wearing a dark blue baseball cap with a military tapered hair cut. The suspect was driving a a light purple 4-door compact car with gray primer along the lower driver’s side.
