MARICOPA, Ariz. August 11, 2020, – Maricopa Police Department is seeking information
on the vehicle an people involved in an overnight shooting. At approximately 12:50am,
an 18-year-old male was struck by gunfire in the right ankle. The victim told MPD he
was walking home from the green belt area near Bowlin Road and North Altera Pkwy,
when a black 4-door sedan possibly a Toyota Camry or a Mercedes pulled up next to him
and fired two shots. The vehicle took off in an unknown direction. The victim was
transported to a valley hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Subsequently MPD received two more calls of shots fired from a vehicle, one in the area
of Edwards Circle at approximately 3:41am the other in the area of Fred Cole Lane at
4:41am.

armed and dangerous so do not approach.

MPD will be increasing patrols in the city in an attempt to locate the individuals responsible for these crimes. At this time, there is no further information these cases are considered active investigations.
