Maricopa Police Department released information about an ongoing incident Tuesday morning in Rancho El Dorado.

According to MPD, an “unwanted subject” was going to door-to-door “causing disturbances” in the 21500 block of North Backus Drive, resulting in multiple calls from residents. “During the call a home owner displayed a weapon at the unwanted suspect, who had approached his front door and refused to leave,” MPD reported.

On arrival, MPD officers saw the interaction between the homeowner and the subject. Officers “less lethal and lethal weapons,” described as bean-bag shotgun and taser, and the subject was arrested.

MPD has not publicly identified the subject, and possible charges have not been announced.
