The video captured a shirtless man, wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

Maricopa police are asking the public’s help to identify a suspect in multiple overnight burglaries in a single subdivision.

“We had several attempted and successful vehicle burglaries,” police spokesman Ricardo Alvarado said. “In most if not all the successful burglaries, the vehicle was unlocked; these all took place in the Villages area.”

In a post shared on a local Maricopa Facebook group, a Villages resident stated he was offering a reward after his vehicles were burglarized overnight Monday.

“Had our cars ransacked last night in the villages,” he wrote. “If anyone hears anything please let me know. I am offering a reward. Had some tools come up missing. And some pistols. Thank you for your help.”

The police department, which is investigating the burglaries, did not mention the pistols in its news release, which included a surveillance video and an image taken from video.

The video captured a shirtless man, wearing blue jeans and black shoes, using a white t-shirt over his hand to try and open the passenger side door of a white SUV. It doesn’t denote when or where the video was taken.

If you have any information or can identify the suspect, please contact the Maricopa police at 520-568-3676.
