MUSD to serve free meals in June

Free meals will be offered to children age 18 and younger this June at several Maricopa Unified district schools.
 
The United States Department of Agriculture and the local community will provide free breakfasts and lunches Monday through Thursday from June 2 to June 26, according to a district press release.
 
The healthy meals meet the USDA nutrition standards.
 
At Butterfield Elementary School, breakfast will be served from 7 to 8:15 a.m. and lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
At Maricopa Elementary School, Saddleback Elementary School and Maricopa Wells Middle School, breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
People who come to eat do not have to meet any income requirements, according to the release. The meals must be eaten at the site.
 
Adults will be charged $3.50 for lunch and $2.50 for breakfast, the release states.***ADVERTISEMENT***
