MYF cheer sign-ups on Saturdays in July

Maricopa Youth Football and Cheer will be holding cheer registrations on three Saturdays next month: July 10, 17 and 24.
 
The goal of the Maricopa Youth Cheer program is to develop confidence and instill the ability to cooperate in a structured team environment. Important to success is understanding that the program provides a positive outlet that allows children the opportunity to learn how to compete as athletes, with accountability and trust. 

“We strive to build strategic relationships that foster cooperative, respectful and supportive teams,” said Tom Olguin,the organization’s business manager.
 
Interaction between coaches, athletes, and parents is vital to the growth of cheerleading in Maricopa. Maricopa Youth Football and Cheer believes it is their responsibility as parents and coaches to be as much involved in children’s development as possible.

“Additionally, we are always looking to partner with parents. If you have experience as a cheer coach or a cheer captain, please ask how you can become a volunteer,” Olguin said.
 
The fall football season is approaching rapidly, and cheer sign-ups are in full swing. Sign-ups are located at Pacana Park (by the new soccer fields).
