New businesses flooding Maricopa

Summer weather aside, Maricopa is a coming-soon hot spot. New businesses, from dental offices to dine-in restaurants, are opening up every week in Maricopa.

Say Sushi and Taco del Mar are just a few of the restaurants you can expect to open their doors soon in the coming weeks. Residents can get a taste of Taco del Mar in advance of their early May opening at the April 29 Maricopa Salsa Festival Presented by inmaricopa.com where they will be a showcasing their salsas as an event contestant.

src=Domino’s Pizza, located in the Shops at Maricopa Village, is already welcoming customers as is Rosati’s, which opened just south of Bashas’. Joining the seemingly endless supply of Maricopa pizza purveyors is Coney Island Pizza, scheduled to open this summer, and Pizza Hut/Wing Street which is planning a grand opening before mid-June.

One of only 10 dine-in Pizza Huts in the Phoenix area, Pizza Hut/Wing Street boasts seating for up to 75 customers. “It’s not just your average red roof Pizza Hut,” owner Walter Kyte said. “This Pizza Hut’s emphasis is on wings!” The Maricopa location will also feature a lunch buffet.

New businesses are creating new employment opportunities as well. “Pizza Hut/Wing Street plans on hiring between 60-80 employees,” according to Kyte. QuikTrip, to be located next to the Shops at Maricopa Fiesta, boasts that it is one of the Fortune 100 best companies to work for offering great salaries, benefits and flexible schedules.

New businesses often breath new life into the city. One of those creating an atmosphere of community, festivities and fun is Marilen’s Imports. “I am always keeping my ears open for groups or individuals that would like to participate in festivities at our store,” says owner Jodi Jaffe. In addition to selling furniture, home accents, pottery and linens, Jaffe also offers interior design assistance for those customers looking for professional advice.

Restaurants and home furnishing stores are not the only new businesses rolling out the red carpet for Maricopa residents. Cobblestone Dental Center has opened its doors next to Walgreen’s and promises to give their Maricopa customers top-shelf customer service. Cobblestone is offering various new patient specials, including free teeth whitening and discounts on cleaning and X-rays, which are available on their web site.

Chase Bank will accept its first deposit tomorrow at its Cobblestone Fiesta Shopping Center branch. “We’re excited to be opening soon!” exclaimed Assistant Manager Kelly Luft.

Presidential Pools recently opened in the Fry’s Marketplace Center and is offering three different upgrades for free with the purchase of any pool package in April.
