There is good news this weekend for drivers traveling through the East Valley: There are no closures scheduled on Interstate 10.

That is not the case on U.S. 60/Superstition Freeway and Loop 101/Price Freeway, though.

The eastbound ramp from U.S. 60 onto southbound Loop 101 will be closed until approximately Oct. 30 while Tempe completes repair of the waterline that broke during the summer, closing the freeway for several days. The U.S. 60 eastbound ramp onto McClintock Drive also will be closed during the project.

ADOT recommends drivers exit eastbound U.S. 60 to southbound Rural or Dobson road and then using Baseline or Guadalupe road to access southbound Price Freeway or McClintock Drive.

The northbound Price Freeway frontage road, Price Road, will be closed from Elliott to Guadalupe roads for maintenance work from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. The Price Freeway northbound off-ramp at Guadalupe will remain open.

The recommended detours are northbound Dobson Road, McClintock Drive or Rural Road. Note: Local access will be maintained during the frontage-road closure.

Finally, the Loop 101/Price Freeway southbound ramp to the Loop 202/Santan Freeway westbound will be closed for maintenance work from 9 p.m. Sunday to 4 a.m. Monday. ADOT is suggesting southbound Price Freeway traffic exit at Price Road and use the on-ramp under the interchange to access the Santan Freeway westbound.
