Initiating Operation Senior Night, the administration of Sequoia Pathway Academy, including secondary Principal Markchele Kamson and elementary Principal Taylor Stanton, spent Thursday night dashing through town to post signs in the yards of the charter school’s graduating seniors.

They showed up without warning, posting signs and posing for photos before ringing the doorbell and running out of sight. They started with the Class of 2020’s top 10%, with Kamson going on video to congratulate the students. The videos will be compiled for inclusion in the school’s graduation event, scheduled for May 20 at 7 p.m.

“Mrs. Kamson thought this was a great opportunity to get out of the box and do something fun and special for our seniors during this time,” said Athletic Director Glen Hale, who drove one of the getaway vehicles. “We are all excited to get out and get them excited for graduation.”

They took along the school mascot and other characters for a party atmosphere. The school has almost 70 graduating seniors this year.
