Members of the Parks, Recreation and Libraries Committee will discuss Pacana Park, its first 60 days of operation, park security, and the possible creation of a Park Ambassador Program. The agenda follows:

Items on the agenda are open for citizen input. Please fill out a card and present it to the Committee Chair before the meeting begins. The Committee Chair will call upon you for your comments.

3.1 New Meeting Time. Committee will discuss new meeting times in an effort to attract and engage more public participation at meetings. Discussion and Possible Action.

3.2 Pacana Park Update. Committee will discuss the first 60 days of operation of Pacana Park. Discussion Only.

3.3 Park Ambassador Program. Committee will discuss the possibility of creating a Park Ambassador Program in an effort to create a volunteer park support group to increase awareness and thwart illegal activity in the park. Discussion and Possible Action.

3.4 Pacana Park Security. Committee will discuss various ways to increase security in Pacana Park. Discussion Only.

3.5 Maricopa Mutt March. Committee Member Theresa Farley will update the PRL Committee on the success of the Maricopa Mutt March. Discussion only.

4.0 Call to the Public

The procedures to follow if you address the Committee are: The Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee requests that you express your ideas in five minutes or less and refrain from any personal attacks or derogatory statements about any City employee, a fellow citizen, or anyone else, whether in the audience or not. The Committee Chair will limit discussion whenever he/she deems such an action appropriate to the proper conduct of the meeting. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may ask Staff to review a matter, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee shall not discuss or take legal action on any matters during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action.
