Movies in the Park update on PRL committee’s agenda tonight

The PRL advisory committee will hear updates on major community events, library activities and the Tree Beautification Project.  They will also update the Copa Center facility usage agreement and determine whether or not to revise the committee handbook. The complete agenda is below:

4.1 Minutes. The Committee will approve minutes from the April 27, 2011 meeting.

4.2 Director’s Report. Community Services Director John Nixon will update the committee on activities of the department including; Salsa Festival, Movies in the Park, Great American Barbeque, Teen Dodgeball Tournament, MASH Graduation Party, and Library Volunteers needed. Discussion Only.

4.3 Library Manager’s Report. Library Manager Joe Gunter will update the committee on activities at the Library including; April statistics, upcoming programs, and proposed policy updates. Discussion Only.

4.4 Tree Beautification Project. Peggy Chapados will give a presentation on the Tree Beautification Project. Discussion Only.

4.5 Copa Center Facility Use Policy. Update and consideration of the Copa Center usage recommendation. Discussion and Action.

4.6 FY12 Budget. Update of the department’s FY12 budget. Discussion Only.

4.7 ABACUS Update. Director John Nixon will update the committee on ABACUS status and seek clarification of recreation center information. Discussion Only.

4.8 PRL Handbook. The committee will discuss and possibly take action on making a recommendation to revise the Boards, Committees and Commissions Member Handbook and specifically discuss procedures for PRL new committee member orientation. Discussion and Action.

4.9 Future Items. The Committee will discuss future agenda items. Discussion and Recommendation Only.
