Don and Esta Ray Pearce of Maricopa celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Jan. 8.
The couple married in Florence, Arizona, at the Pinal County Courthouse. After residing and farming in the Green Reservoir/Eloy area, they moved to Maricopa in 1959 and bought the NAPA store on the corner, where they worked until retirement.
The Pearces have five daughters, Gwyn of Chandler, Linda and Tammi of Gilbert, Lana of Maricopa, and Donna of Casa Grande. They have seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
A reception for them in Casa Grande was attended by 135 close friends and family.
