Peed Property and other possible sites on agenda for council’s special meeting Tuesday

The Peed Property purchase will once again come under consideration when the Maricopa City Council meets in special session on Tuesday evening. In addition to that 138.5 acre land parcel, alternative city hall sites will also be discussed.

4.1 There are no public hearings scheduled.

5.0 Agenda Items

Items on the agenda are open for citizen input. Please fill out a card and present it to the City Clerk before the meeting begins. The mayor will call upon you for your comments.

5.1 2006-2007 Season Designated Hunting Area. The City Council will discuss and possibly take action on designating hunting area within the Maricopa City Limits, for rural areas only located east of White and Parker Road and West of Anderson Road, for the 2005-2006 hunting season, and to restrict the area to small game and shotgun use only. Discussion & Action.

5.2 Purchase of Land. The City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on exercising the option to purchase approximately 138.5 acres of property located at the northeast corner of SR238 and Rachael, known as the PEED property. This would complete the purchase of the Peed Property. Discussion and Action.

5.3 Alternative City Hall Sites. The City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on alternative City Hall sites submitted pursuant to Council directive on July 28, 2006. Discussion and Action.

The Maricopa City Council may go into executive session for purposes of obtaining legal advice from the City’s attorney on any of the above agenda items pursuant to A.R.S.§ 38-431.03 (A)(3).
