Pima Butte raises the ‘A’ banner, again

For the second year in a row, Pima Butte Elementary Pima Butte Elementary was rated as an “A” or “Excelling” school by the Arizona Department of Education.

On Friday morning, Principal Korrine Ledbetter gathered students and teachers for a “raising of the A banner” ceremony in the school’s multipurpose room.

The banner was raised by schools Superintendent Jeff Kleck and Governing Board President Scott Bartle.

“You guys are awesome,” Bartle said. “This is quite an accomplishment. Keep up the good work.”

***ADVERTISEMENT***Kleck said, “We are proud of you and you will do the same thing next year.”

Then he led students in shouts of “I can and I will.”

Students cheered as each teacher received a certificate and an “Above and Beyond” chip.
