Pinal County Animal Care & Control will host a Holiday Hounds and Christmas Kitties even 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Pet Club, 1348 E. Florence Blvd. in Casa Grande.

Adoption fees range from $15 to $65. All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchips.

Pinal County Animal Care & Control has set up three Angel Trees for all the animals still in the shelter. The animals are in need of new toys, blankets, treats, canned food and sponsorships for adoption. Donations for the animals will be accepted at Pet Club and at the shelter, 1150 S. Eleven Mile Corner Road in Casa Grande.

At an event earlier in the month, Animal Care & Control placed 35 animals. Families or individuals adopted 13 dogs and eight cats. Six dogs and seven cats were released to rescue groups and one dog was returned to its rightful owner.

A donor made it possible for 18 animals to be spayed or neutered so they could be readied for adoption. The donor wished to remain anonymous.

“We are grateful for the support of the community and for people who open their hearts and homes to shelter and rescued pets,” said Kaye Dickson, director of Animal Care & Control. “Even if you can’t add a pet, if you share our passion for animals, please consider making a donation to help our shelter pets.”
