Pinal County Animal Care and Control held their monthly adoption event at the Maricopa Pet Club Saturday morning.

On the third Saturday each month, Pinal County Animal Care and Control brings a small sampling of the dogs they have available for adoption to the Maricopa Pet Club. Last month, two of the four puppies were adopted, and this month, five were brought to potentially find homes.

“We’re hoping to get some of these little guys out to homes today,” Kathy Pratt of Pinal Animal Care and Control said. “We have a couple of adult Chihuahua mixes, a boxer mix, a terrier Chihuahua mix and a 2-month-old border collie mix.”

Pinal County has more than 300 dogs available for adoption. They hope to find “forever homes” for each one, and hold adoption events around the county in order to do so.

“They’re all spade, have their vaccinations and are microchipped,” Pratt said. “We’re just looking to get them out and find them a home.”

Pinal County is expected to return to the Maricopa Pet Club for the year’s final adoption event on Dec. 19.
