YouTube offers easy access to Channel Pinal videos

Do you want to see the latest interview with your county official? Is there a Pinal County event you missed? Fear not. The information is only a mouse-click away.

If you have a computer with high-speed internet access, Pinal County’s YouTube channel is a great way to keep up on the latest news from your county government.

Pinal County’s Communications and Public Affairs team produces the videos that appear on the county’s Public, Education and Access (PEG) channel, known as Channel Pinal.  The county’s PEG channel is not supported by taxpayer funds. Because satellite customers do not have access to Channel Pinal, completed videos are posted on YouTube.

Channel Pinal operates on the following cable companies Mediacom (channels 2 and 4), Cox (channel 11 in unincorporated areas) and Comcast (channel 97).

The goal of Channel Pinal is to offer a wide variety of locally-produced, government programming to help keep the public informed. The channel offers regular interviews with all three county supervisors, in-depth interviews with newsmakers, special event coverage and video press releases.

The advantages of using YouTube as a conduit to providing video content is that it is free to use, for the county and for the public.
